FAQs

Frequently asked questions

When does my schedule start?
AG users’ schedules start on May 15. Schedules go through September subject to water availability and shares assigned to the property. Meter users can start using water as soon as it is in the lines. Start dates vary from year to year.
Where can I get a copy of my schedule?
We publish all schedules on our home page. You can also request an email or mailed copy from the water office.
When are my assessments due?
Assessments are mailed out in September. The due date is six weeks from the mailing date. There is a late fee added if the assessments are not paid by due date.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash or check payable to Daniel Irrigation Company.
How much are my shares worth?
The company does not know. Each sale of shares is a private transaction between the buyer and the seller.
Where I can I get water shares if I need one?
The water office has a list of people that are looking to sell, or you can look at the classified ads in the paper or ksl.com classifieds.
If I am not a shareholder what information can I receive?
None. Shareholders information is only available to shareholders. Real Estate agents, title companies or someone just looking for information cannot be given any information about what shares a shareholder owns. That information must come from the shareholder if they wish for them to know.
What happens if I go over my allowed gallons on my meter?
You will be charged an overage fee. For 2020 it was $2.00 for every 1000 gallons over your allowed amount. The fee is set annually by the board of directors to cover infrastructure and water cost to the company.
How many gallons am I allowed per share on my meter?
How do I transfer a water share to a new owner and does it cost any money?
The original certificate must be brought into the water office. The shareholder or shareholders or appointed trustee (with proof of documentation) must sign the back of the certificate. Then a transfer form will be completed by the water office with the new shareholder’s information (name, address, phone number and location of where the water will be used). There is a $50 transfer fee for each new certificate that is created. Transfer fee can be paid by seller or buyer at your discretion by either check or cash.
What do I do with a water certificate and what happens if I lose it?
Keep the original document in a safe and secure location – DO NOT sign the back, unless you are preparing to sell it. If the certificate is misplaced, you may request a new one to be created via affidavit from the irrigation company that must be notarized. Contact the water office for this form. There is a $50 transfer fee to create the new certificate.
What if I am installing a new irrigation system or making significant changes to my current system, do I need to contact the water office?
Yes, please schedule a time to meet with our engineer so we can review your irrigation plans. We need to verify that you are using the appropriate amount of water based on the shares you have.
